Sorry, no pictures because our camera is not cooperating.
Tuesday evening we met up with Jon's work peeps for a send-off to his new job. I had been there for a few minutes when a couple showed up. Jon indirectly works with the guy - I met this couple once at a wedding a couple of months ago. They hand Jon a box which is obviously some type of going away present. I am half paying attention and half carrying on a conversation with someone else (typical). All of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I see pink, wait a minute.....I see little pink shoes!!!! Next thing I knew the box was in my lap. Now I don't think Jon handed it to me and I don't think it jumped into my lap so obviously I snatched it out of his hands. Hey - it was little pink shoes- I couldn't help myself!!!! Not only was it pink shoes but also a matching outfit. I was so touched - like I said, I've met this couple once. The woman is originally from China although she has been living here for quite some time - not sure how long. She is so genuinely excited and supportive about our adoption. It was such an unexpected gesture and it really meant a lot to both of us. She also let me practice my pathetic 5 words of Mandarin with her.
Then yesterday I check the mail and I got an adoption bracelet from my friend Andree' and her friend Michelle. I've never met Michelle but she knows about me through Andree' (hopefully she doesn't believe everything Andree' tells her.) Anyway, Michelle saw the bracelet, got it for me and Andree' sent it to me. It's pink and has a little charm on it that says:
Adopting a child
Shaping a life
Building a home
Creating a world
Again, a very nice gesture from someone that I really do not even personally know.
Andree' also sent me some other pink goodies for sponsoring her in the Breast Cancer 3 day. She is walking 60 miles in three days. She has been training really hard and I am so proud of her for doing this.

Kindness & support come from all different places & people. You just never know how you & your story will touch someone...hmmm kinda like the internet & meeting new friends that way.
