Paperwork update
No word yet on if the fingerprints passed or not. In case you haven't been following along, "passed" means my fingerprints were clear enough to be read and NOT that they uncovered my extensive "rap sheet". Actually that's the irony of it all. Once they do get clear fingerprints, they will probably fall asleep while checking me out. BOOOORING!!! Anyway, other than the immigration form of course, everything else has been notarized, authenticated by any necessary county clerks, authenticated by the Secretary of State of either Texas, Georgia orMississippi!!! YAY! Yep, I've been putting X's in my spreadsheet and sadly enough that is what makes me happy these days. This week, it all went to the Chinese Consulate in Houston for the LAST level of authentication. Hopefully that will all be ok and will come back authenticated within a couple of weeks. Once the immigration form comes through, we will expedite that one final piece of paper through the same authentication process.
