Another Small Step
Just a quick (not very exciting) dossier update. We had the 171H form from immigration certified by the Secretary of State last week. They turned it around in about 4 days which was great. It now needs to go to the Chinese Consulate in Houston to be authenticated. The Consulate is closed this week (until Friday) for Chinese New Year so we won't get that back until next week. That's ok - that is really the way the adoption process works. "Hurry up and wait." I am using a courier service which will help us to get the Consulate authentication done quickly. We should have that back by next Tuesday and then hopefully have our dossier to our agency by end of next week. I am hoping they will find it all in order. I have checked and double-checked everything so much that I will be crushed if there is anything wrong. And then I'll fix it. We are hoping to be DTC (Dossier to China) by end of February at the LATEST. We have Champagne chilling in the fridge for that!!!!

HOW COOL! I hope we are DTC in February also, but we are still waiting on the elusive 171H....
Let me know how you like your courier service, we are thinking about going that route also....
