This was an exciting week in the China adoption community as many families received their referrals. (For my family and friends that haven't memorized all the adoption "lingo", this is when you receive the picture(s) and information about your child from your agency.) The referrals this week were for families whose paperwork was logged into China between April 26 to May 13 2005. Our agency notified us that they received 6 referrals. The six girls are in the Changsha First Social Welfare Institute in the Hunan Province. The younger girls range in age from 7-8.5 months old and one little girl just turned two!

They are beautiful and I'm sure there are no words to describe how their parents feel at the moment. They will be travelling to China in probably 6-8 weeks to get their daughters.
Speaking of babies, we had dinner last night with some friends that have a 6 months old little girl. Oh my gosh, she is the cutest, sweetest little girl. She let me hold her almost the entire time at the restaurant.
